2004-2005- Named the Men’s ACC Swimmer of the Year … earned first-team All-America accolades in the 200 breast by finishing fifth at NCAAs … placed sixth in the 100 breast at NCAA to garner first-team honors as well … was a member of the 16th-place 200 free relay at NCAAs to earn honorable mention accolades … won the 200 breaststroke for the second consecutive year at the ACC Championships … also won the 100 breaststroke at ACCs … was a member of the ACC title-winning 400 medley relay … swam in the consolation finals of the 200 I.M. at ACCs (10th) … swam on the 200 medley relay that set the school record (1:27.70) at the Last Chance Meet held at UVa … competed in the 100 and 200-meter breaststroke at the FINA World Championships in Indianapolis in October 2004 … was awarded the Ramirez Scholarship.
2003-2004- Earned the first All-America certificates of his career at the NCAA Championships … finished 10th in the 200-meter breast and 14th in the 100-meter breast at NCAAs to earn two honorable mention honors … also earned a certificate for swimming the breaststroke leg of Virginia’s ninth-place 400 medley relay at the NCAAs … won the ACC title in the 200 breast at the ACC Championships … earned All-ACC honors for his second-place finish in the 100 breast at ACCs … was a member of the Cavaliers’ ACC champion 400 medley relay … represented Croatia at the 2003 World Championships and placed 24th in the 50-meter breaststroke and 38th in the 100 breast … also competed in the 400-meter medley relay and helped Croatia to a 15th-place finish … is the Croatian National champion in the 100-meter breast.
