Crosco Provides Onshore Drilling Services in Libya

ZAGREB, CROATIA, Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ – Crosco Integrated Drilling & Well Services Co., Ltd. and Arab Drilling and Workover Company (ADWOC) are pleased to be providing drilling services for Agip Oil in Libya. Services are currently being provided on well Pad FA6, Elephant Field, onshore Murzuq Basin with the Crosco 2000 HP drilling rig EMSCO 604 (EMSCO CII).

Due to project requirements of drilling 8 wells per drilling pad a rig skidding system was designed and installed onto Crosco’s drilling rig EMSCO 604. Crosco’s Engineering and Machinery Manager, Branko Franolic, explained: “The skidding system moves the entire mast and substructure in vertical position including pipe setback and shaker tank with three shakers. A four-cylinder diesel unit powers the skidding system. In the first skidding the rig was successfully moved 6 meters in 38 minutes.”
