| Valter De1palj Biography provided by Ovation Press Valter De1palj (Zadar, Croatia, 1947) is professor at the Zagreb Academy of Music. A graduate from the Juilliard School (cello with L. Rose, chamber music with F. Galimir and Juilliard Quartet), he also took master classes with P. Casals, P. Fournier and A. Navarra, and did two years of postgraduate study with G. Kozolupova at the Moscow Conservatory. De1palj has performed all over the world, including performances at festivals in Gstaad, Lockenhaus, Kuhmo and Dubrovnik, also in some of the most prestigious concert halls, such as Carnegie Hall, Royal Festival Hall in London, Sydney Opera House, Amsterdam′s Concertgebouw, Moscow Conservatory Hall etc. He was soloist with orchestras including Berlin Symphony Orchestra, Dresden Philharmonic, Warsaw Philharmonic, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Dutch Radio Orchestra, Washington National Symphony, Sydney Symphony, Melbourne Symphony and others, under baton of eminent conductors such as Roberto Benzi, Sergiu Comissiona, James Conlon, Vernon Handley, Gunther Herbig, Hiroyuki Iwaki, Andrzej Markowski, David Zinman and others. Among his chamber music partners were Gidon Kremer, Yo-Yo Ma, Heinrich Schiff, Philippe Entremont, Yuri Bashmet, Tabea Zimmerman, Irena Grafenauer, Dmitry Sitkovetsky and Alexandre Rabinovitch. Besides teaching in Zagreb, he has also been a guest professor at the conservatories in The Hague, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Graz (University of Music), editor of cello music with major music publishers, and member of judging panels at the most prestigious international competitions including Tchaikovsky (Moscow), Bach (Leipzig), Lutoslawski (Warsaw) and ARD (Munich) competitions. | István Römer István Römer studied guitar at the Hochschule fur Music and Performing Arts in Graz, where he graduated in 1984, as well as at the Zagreb Academy of Music, where he graduated 1983. His brilliant career began with numerous awards in international competitions, where we allocate the first prize won by the mid-eighties in Mettmann (Germany) and the Competition Segovia in Palma de Mallorca, and, in Vina del Mar in Chile. In his list of performances recorded hundreds of concerts in Europe, South America and Asia. In addition to solo recitals and concerts with renowned domestic and foreign orchestras he often performs as a chamber musician – he gave many concerts in duo with cellist Valter De1palj and clarinetist Milko Pravdiae. On most of the chamber music concerts he performed as a member of a prominent Zagreb Guitar Trio, with Darko Petrinjak and Goran Liste1. He produced eight recordings.
