| Distinguished Croatian scientist Prof. Danica Kragić Jensfelt, Ph.D., professor of computer science at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm and a member of the International Scientific Council of the University of Rijeka, has won a kind of “scientific Oscar” for 2019. Her project Bimanual Manipulation of Rigid and Deformable Objects has been selected as one of 82 projects in the field of physical sciences and engineering to be funded by the European Research Council (ERC). Advanced ERC grants can be allocated in the amount up to 2.5 million for 5 years (pro-rata for projects of shorter duration). ![]() Last year, Professor Kragić Jensfelt was also nominated to the Supervisory Board of the H&M Company. The Croatian scientist was proposed to the Supervisory Board of the Swedish multinational company by its chairman, Stefan Persson, son of Erling Persson, the founder of the company, and was appointed as the member in early May 2019. |
