Distinguished Croatian scientist Prof. Danica Kragić Jensfelt, Ph.D., professor of computer science at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm and a member of the International Scientific Council of the University of Rijeka, has won a kind of “scientific Oscar” for 2019. Her project Bimanual Manipulation of Rigid and Deformable Objects has been selected as one of 82 projects in the field of physical sciences and engineering to be funded by the European Research Council (ERC).

Last year, Professor Kragić Jensfelt was also nominated to the Supervisory Board of the H&M Company. The Croatian scientist was proposed to the Supervisory Board of the Swedish multinational company by its chairman, Stefan Persson, son of Erling Persson, the founder of the company, and was appointed as the member in early May 2019.
Danica Kragić Jensfelt is a Vice-Dean at the Faculty of Computer Science and Communication at KTH, Director of the Center for Autonomous Systems and a member of the Swedish Royal Academy, and is also a member of the Supervisory Board of SAAB and FAM, owned by the Wallenberg Family Foundation, one of Sweden’s most powerful families.
